Ramudden rolls out usage of Buddywise safety system across worksites.

We began our trial with Ramudden in March 2023 to automate their Work Zone Road Safety Inspections (WZRSI) and can now proudly announce this has expanded to production across several sites, with the first being just outside of Stockholm in Danderyd, Sweden. A simple, robust and user-friendly portable camera system will be used with solar and battery powered cameras and wireless 4G/5G connectivity.

During the trial we continuously detected deviations in the worksites layout and reported them to Ramudden’s employees. By taking this proactive data-driven approach focused on reducing the need for unnecessary site inspections, to only when action was required, they received full insight on when visits were needed and what site equipment to be brought.

Together we estimated that in Sweden alone this could reduce the number of kilometers driven by up to 540,000 per year whereby they not only reduce emissions, but simultaneously improve safety for everyone involved.

Having now expanded to production, in addition to digital safety inspections, new use cases will focus on site incursions, buffer zone entries and monitoring vehicle near hits and personal protection equipment in order to provide a superior digital road safety portfolio for Ramudden and their customers.

Safety inspections involve checking for potential deviations, such as signs, fences, and barriers not being in the correct places. This is an essential and legal requirement to ensure that the traffic control plan is maintained and safety secured around each worksite.
